Return of Smell the Roses

I have a confession.
Well it's probably already a known fact. But I'm gonna tell you guys anyway.

I have really missed doing my Smell the Roses posts! And I've received quite a few emails from you guys telling me that you miss them, too.

So today...Smell the Roses returns :)
If you're new around here, allow me to get you up to speed.

Every Monday I include a "task" for myself (and whoever else wants to participate) in my post.
The purpose of these tasks is for us to...stop and smell the roses! The tasks are things that don't take a lot of time or effort, but will give us enough time to slow down and appreciate the lovely little things (sorry, I had to do it) and people in our lives.

Some of my favorite past tasks have been:

This week's task:
Take a leap of faith, and do something that you've been afraid to do.

We all have dreams & ambitions (big or small) that we are too scared to pursue. Sometimes we let fear steer the direction that we take. Well this week I think we should let go of fear and take hold of those dreams :)

  1. I love this "challenge"! I can't wait to step outside my comfort box :)

  2. I'm a new-ish follower, so I never got the chance to read these before and never knew anything about them... I am very excited to be able to read more and that you're bringing them back. It sounds like an awesome feature.

  3. Yay!! I'm glad it's back! I will start participating again too! I feel like I have been a bad blog friend!

  4. Love this quote. It's often hard to focus on the dream while in the midst of difficulty, but it can be done. LOOOOVE this reminder.
By the way, I see in your sidebar that you are currently reading "Captivating." It's a WONDERFUL book! You will surely love it. New follower. You can visit me at http://olearyva.blogspot.com

  5. I love this idea :) I'm going to have to think about what it is I can do this week...

  6. this came just in the nick of time, since I've been procrastinating on doing something that I absolutely dream about but always fear I won't be successful. Whoever said God doesn't speak in many ways, I'd have to disagree! Thanks for posting this.

  7. Excited these are coming back! Can't wait to see what kinds of challenges you come up with. :)

  8. "She's back in business, people!" :)
