Although I have a cat, I still wouldn't consider myself a "cat person."
Cats make me kind of uneasy. All except for my own that is!
That's my little nugget a few days after she was born. My mom rescues kittens and gets them fixed before finding homes for them. My mom rescued Boots' mom before she had the litter that Boots was a part of. If you're looking into getting a pet, I would highly suggest looking into rescuing one :) It's super rewarding!
Boots acts more like a dog than she does a cat. I think that's why we get along so well.
She plays fetch. She growls when someone knocks on my front door. She is waiting at my front door when I get home. See? Dog status.
The reason I got her was because it was lonely living in my apartment without any roomies. I wanted another breathing thing in there, haha! I don't have time to dedicate to a puppy, and Boots was free (thanks, Mom!) so I figured, even though I was a proclaimed cat hater, that I would give it a try.
Turns out she's a pretty good cat to keep me company!

I love rescue animals myself!! We rescued Marley (our shephard/lab mix) and you're right... it's super rewarding, and I wish we had all the time in the world to rescue every animal that needed a home!

What a cutie! I love that she was rescued. I'm a proclaimed cat-hater too.. have been ever since I was scratched by my neighbor's cat when I was 6!! Trauma like that doesn't die easy.. haha.

Happy birthday to boots! My kitty USA rescues well and it sounds tough we have similar stories as lily's mom was rescued and then she had her utter! I too am notreallya cat person, but boy do I log my cat! She has captured my heart in so many ways! I love when she calls up on me or when she cuddles next to me! She is pretty awesome! I am sur boots is the same!
